FOCUSED WOMAN
With her eyes
On the prize
She steadily runs the race
Blocking out the others Going at their own pace
Her feet within her element
Her hands are on her work
Her heart is in her purpose
There is no time to lurk
Everything she sets to do
Brings pleasure to her soul
Helping, cheering other on
She’s unique, complete, and whole.
The daughters that are coming up
Who needs a guiding touch
Are carefully mentored to cushion their fall
Or support like a crutch
Dedicated to her professional world
She encourages others to succeed
Her gifts are as influential as yeast
And with vigor she takes the lead
She seeks intervention from a Higher Being
The source of her supply
She depends upon this relationship
Like the air on which we rely.
Yet when she feels like she can’t go on
As a result of a crisis
She carefully seeks wise counsel
To assist with blocking the masses
The vast number of people
Trying to fill her with negativity
Are amazed when she turns her troubles
Into windows of opportunity
A chance to positively advance her world
In a more creative manner
On lookers are amazed at her progress
As excellence is her banner.
Apart from her marital status
Or ability to rare
Focused woman maintains a balan
Of herself she takes care
It is not easy to keep your focus
Distractions on every hand
Yet if we
Fix
OurConsciousness
Upon Something
Greater, we will be able to stand
Under pressure as we multitask
Toward a spotlight gleaming like the sun
Overcoming barriers, maintaining the gaze
Remaining a focused woman
